A couple of days before the wedding, I said to a few friends: "If I could do it all over again, I'd plan a big party at a restaurant in NYC and then a banquet back in Philly for my parents and family." After our wedding, I take all those words back.
Planning our wedding was a lot of work for many people, and I tend to veer towards what's uncomplicated and easiest for everyone. But after our wedding, I wouldn't have changed a thing. I'm so happy to be married to Peter, and I'm thankful to have had a more formal, weekend-long wedding celebration of our marriage with family and friends. Looking through the first photos I have so far, I'm so appreciative to have had a beautiful wedding with only one hitch (an opportunely timed thunderstorm--no one got soaked) and lots of laughter and love.
I decided to create a new, simple slideshow out of the photos my brother-in-law Newman and sister-in-law Vivian took (Newman's original slideshow file got corrupted when I transferred it over to my computer). May I suggest you play your favorite John Legend song in the background as you watch? Enjoy!
